I have recently been focusing on reconnecting, and creating a new body of work shaped by land with abstract and realism. This series will draw from the quiet beauty of oaks, Spanish moss, and open fields. Earthy. Honest. Rooted. Coming soon.
\This large-scale painting is inspired by the South Georgia farm I grew up visiting. It weaves together cypress trees, Spanish moss, and memories of my dad bird hunting with our dogs.
It’s a new direction for me — blending realism with abstract marks to capture the feeling of walking through nature. I’ll be spending two weeks on the farm to finish the piece and create more like it.
